Thematisch verbunden sind die Arbeiten des Programms durch das Nachdenken über das Sein und das Ende von Dingen – das Ende der Welt, einer Zeit, einer Kultur, einer Gemeinschaft, von Traditionen und Landschaften. Zum Ende gehört auch die Frage, was danach kommt, und die Frage nach dem Sein an sich und der ihm inhärenten Endlichkeit. Zugleich hält die Filmemacherin in der Auseinandersetzung damit das Verschwinden an sich fest.
The works in the program are thematically linked by reflections on being and the end of things – the end of the world, a time, a culture, a community, traditions and landscapes. The end also includes the question of what comes after, and the question of existence itself and its inherent finiteness. At the same time, the filmmaker captures disappearance itself while examining it.
